RNR 15048 was released in the year 2015 by Telangana State Agricultural University. It is a 125 days high yield culture having blast resistance with short slender grains also known as Telangana Sona and has a unique feature of low Glycemic index (GI)
The unique feature of low Glycemic index: GI 51.3, which contributes to building a healthier India and address lifestyle issues like diabetes, helps in increasing good cholesterol level & maintain blood glucose level (Source American Journal of Food & Nutrition).
